Totally have to admit I didn't think of how much work it could be to add a new breed (excuse me while I am totally embarrassed) lol, you guys already bust your butts to keep things going, so imma go breed my spotty mutts and not fuss over name titles
I'm not sure at this point what we'd be adding We do already accept various Baroque crosses as their own breeds because they have established registries with their own breeding guidelines (e.g. Barock Pinto). We really require new breeds to be unique and adequately distinct from existing options so a general Baroque cross is already covered by Baroque Grade and won't be added separately.
I'd love to add this breed - it's adorable. But I'm running into the same problem as with a lot of the others. Not enough information. Wikipedia and breed databases are not reliable for this type of information. I really need some kind of registry or studbook.
There really isn't enough information for these Chinese breeds to add them. People all over the world have and name varieties of native ponies but they are not really 'breeds' because there are no true regulations when it comes to breeding/crossing them or a real breed standard.
Links to breed databases or Wikipedia are not enough to accept this as we can't look up a lot of important information. Try to find an actual registry/studbook with a breed standard and breeding guidelines.
Strain has to impact performance or make a big difference to the allowed colours/types. I personally don't think this addition would be justified but I'm willing to hear from others who might disagree.
