Price Riding Academy Blog || Unfortunate training (18/7)

  • @Callixta-Rosella Yes, Jess is a really ambitious rider, and we love her determination :D Yeah, the weather in Merridale may not be the best, but hey! At least it's not raining :P

  • What a lucky girl to have 4 horses/ponies to ride! She seem to be well prepared for the young adult circuit

  • @Merida-Dahmer Thank you! :)

We are happy to inform that our top horse in the equestrian centre reached her first out of two International Champion titles! Congratulations to HRST First Dance and her rider, Maxine Ridley!

HRST First Dance, by HRST Smokin' Cigarette and out of HRST Feuerzauber, competes with us since 2015. We first leased her from Annalena Voight and showed her in Ziwa Bonde International, where she placed first in her class. Since then we competed with her in Eventing and Dressage, in Randomised competitions as well as in Traditional ones. When Annalena decided to sell most of her horses, I knew that I had to buy Danny, and to my surprise, Annalena reserved her for me! Now we are so proud and happy to have First Dance as part of our Eventing and Dressage teams.

Recently she gained Dressage International Champion title! She is close to achieving her Eventing International Champion title, as she is missing only 9 points. We are planning to retire her once she will reach her second International Champion title, as right now she is almost 16 years old. For another year she will be used as a broodmare, and then she will be fully retired from both competing and breeding.

Awww, this makes me so happy to know Smokin' Cigarette's foals are doing as well as he is! He's rapidly reaching 200 points in dressage since he got leased to Leah Harrington. Its lovely to know some of his foals remain active and are super talented! <3

  • Thank you, @Callixta-Rosella <3 We are so proud of Danny :)

Welcome another International Champion in Price Riding Academy!
PCRA Ciara is a very first horse (ekhem, pony :P ) bred in here who reached International Champion title in its discipline, which is Pony Show Jumping. Well done to Ciara and Jessica, her rider!
We are planning to retire Ciara at the end of this month. She would be used as a broodmare until October, and then she will be fully retired from both competing and breeding. She well deserves it <3
Here are some of Ciara's pictures :)

    Congrats on another champion!
Ciara is so pretty and she definitely deserves a happy retirement full of apples and grass after such a great career! <3

  • Thank you, @Callixta-Rosella <3

Yesterday Ciara was officially retired from competing in Pony Show Jumping. We decided to keep her active in breeding for another three months, until October. If anyone would be interested in a pony foal dammed by this successful mare, be sure to contact me! :)

While Ciara's retirement process was being worked out, during Three-Day Event, hosted by Competition Committee, after announcing the results, another mare in our equestrian centre became an International Champion in her discipline. Congratulations to HRST Feuerdiamant and her rider, Stella Watson!

We can surely say that June has been a very successful month for Price Riding Academy. Three amazing mares reached their International Champion titles, one of which is being retired now. Also, two our best Show Jumping horses reached Grand Prix (10) level! Well done to RDEC Vinterburg and MHS Grace, and their riders!

Here are some photos of our new (and first!) Eventing International Champion :)

  • Welcome new rider who is going to join our Dressage and Eventing team! Say hello to Anastasiya Rosovska :) This beautiful young woman lived around her horses from the age of 10, when she got her first dressage pony. Since then she was in love with this discipline, but since she couldn't decide between Show Jumping and Dressage, she decided to do Eventing as well!
For now, Anastasiya will be training with PCRA Baryshnikov, and in the future, she will take care of young Dressage horses and Eventers.

  • Alexandra Mirror, one of our riders, decided to take one of her Show Jumping horses for training, since the jumping arena was empty and she could make a full use of it for herself, seriously stretch one of the horses. She chose PCRA Dragon, who after one of the recent Show Jumping shows gained his Grand Prix level, as one of the first PCRA bred horses!

Unfortunately, this must have been Dragon's bad day. He was being lazy throughout the training, uncooperative, and truly stubborn. He stopped in front of few jumps, almost causing Alex to fall off, but she was determined to finish the training on the good note. Well... She didn't achieve her goal. Drago's stubborn level reached the maximum and he stopped sliding in front of the oxer, and Alex ended up on the ground.

She gave up continuing the training. She got into the saddle, walked Dragon around the arena and went back into the stables. Don't worry! She's okay, excluding some bruises, cuts on arms and bad mood for the rest of the day :p
