Overo in Tennessee Walkers

  • I just noticed that Overo has been taken out of the accepted patterns for Tennessee Walking Horses. Overo is listed in the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders' and Exhibitors' Association (TWHBEA) as an accepted pattern along with Sabino, Tobiano, and Tovero. Information on that can be found Here.

Along with that, there are some farms that specialize in the production of very colorful Tennessee Walkers like Stoner Creek Walkers and Walker's West who have many overo horses for stud and sale.

There's also quite a few of them if Googled that are listed. Since Tennessee Walkers can be so colorful, many of them will also be sabino and tobiano along with overo, a lot of the color producers that breed them to be more flashy will try to include several different white genes together.

  • Yep, already approved :)
