How to retire a horse?

  • I have curiosity. I have some horses that have stopped competing (I have retired them) by the age that they have (more than 16). Do I have to submit a form or something? I have seen that there are breeders who write it in the profile of the horse (in parentheses, next to the discipline). That's enough?

Really you don't need to do anything to call a horse retired, just not compete them.
You can mark it on their main site profile if you like, it's a handy way to remember.

The closest thing to an official retirement is to send in a discipline change form to have a horse changed to none & none. This will mark a horse retired in the disciplines it was in.

  • Thank you ;)
