Equus Stable Directory (by Breed)
As a newish player trying to get more involved I began looking for a way to find and contact breeders in my chosen breed. I found that there isn't really an up to date "By Breed Directory" of facilities. I thought others might be interested in such a directory as well and put together a submission form and results spreadsheet.
Submit your Facility info here
If you "specialize" in a specific breed/s please submit the info for your stable/farm to be included in the directory.
It seems when I put in the WinStone Farm info, the primary breed didn't submit with it...It should be Thoroughbred
Thank you for the submission. I have you added.
@Caroline-Delacort Thank you!
Oops, I put Stag Hill's Stud instead of just Stag Hill Stud for my first entry - if you could change that it'd be great!
Edit - and there appears to be a random "con" after my link in that one too. Not a great morning for me it seems xD
Wow I got it really wrong and linked mainsite. My forum link is here
Rebecca - all fixed
We've had quite a few submissions and the Warmblood tab is looking great!
No Asinus, Drafts, Saddle horses or Stock breeds yet....
REC should be Hanoverians, KWPN, and Swedish Warmbloods
NA should be Arabians
ZR is AQH and APH
@Breanna-Fahnestock I think I have everything added correctly. You are busy woman!
Is it possible to add a few more breeds on my stables? We don't really focus entirely on just one breed.
Stall Eikedalen - Norwegian Warmblood, Swedish Warmbloods and Hanoverians
Åsmarka Hestesenter - Arabians, Connemara, Welsh Sec B and German Riding Ponies (Sorry for so many breeds but we focus on 4 breeds so can't really choose between them )
Certainly, everyone is welcome to submit their stable's info for all of the breeds that they "specialize" in. For our purposes I'm considering "specialization" as a stable having 5+ horses of that breed that offers at least one "breed service" for the breed, ie: stud, sales, leases. (But even that isn't a non-negotiable rule, as if there are only 1-2 of a specific breed in the game, I think we would want to know who has them.)
I'll add you for the breeds shown here in your post.
Oh, I read that in the description so I'm aware of it. I've just started with Swedish wb's and same with the ponies, but they are all in my game. It's just me being lazy and never taking the time to actually register them on the main site. They will be registered real soon though.
I own a lot of other warmblood breeds than the 3 ones I listed, for example, I do own 5+ Dutch warmbloods but it's not our primary breed at all because we don't have any sales, leases or studs up for this breed, so I totally get the point and that's also the reason why I didn't submit the other ones as my primary breed.
@Caroline-Delacort lol you have no idea. I guess for Yeguada las Morerías, my strain would be PRE. Forgot Andalusians tech. had strains
Guess you could also say REC specializes in Thoroughbreds too....
I have way to many horses... lol
I can't see Akhal-Teke on the drop down box?
@X-tina-Hoxha - I typed in the "Master List" manually and used that format.
The Master list shows Akhal-Tekes are listed as a
Progenitor>Turkomene Horse>Akhal-Teke Strain.
Thank you for your interest and adding your stables!
The list is slowly growing. Still very few Baroque or Stock breeds. Nothing so far for Asinus, Draft, or Saddle groups. (Just a nudge for anyone else reading.)
Edited to add that I went ahead and added the Equestrian Center for the Akhal-Tekes
If there are any changes that need to be made to that listing just give me a shout.
@Caroline-Delacort Okay, thank you!
The facility listing continues to grow, but we seem to be missing a lot of breeds.
Where are our Baroque horse breeders? Drafts? Saddlebreds? Stock Horses?
@Caroline-Delacort I have stock horses but they aren't really my primary breed. Could there be options for multiple breeds maybe? Or should I resubmit? I specialize in mostly Thoroughbreds, Dutch Warmbloods, and Paint horses
@Sinead-Hannigan Thank you for your interest!
Yes, you are encouraged to submit your stable/s for each breed that you work with. Originally, I included a note on the submission form indicating a preference that you have at least 5 of the specific breed, but I believe on some of the rarer breeds if you have 2-3 that would suffice.
