    • All entry fees must be paid in full to the CC FIELD HUNTER TRIALS account on the main site for your entry to be processed.
    • Please include the 'Show Name' in the Payment Memo.
    • The system does not accept punctuation in payments at this time. If you put, for example, $50.00 when you send payment, you will be sending $5,000! Just type in $50 with no decimal places. Please pay once for your entire entry, not per horse!
    • Payments must be made by the same member who entered the horse.
    • Horses may not be cross-entered in different levels at the same show.
    • Riders may compete up to two horses in each class.
    • Horses must be registered with the appropriate discipline to be eligible to compete.
    • Member can enter up to 5 horses per level with 50 horses total.
    • If there are more than 14 participants in one class, it will be split. Classes with fewer than 10 participants will have phantom horses added to meet the minimum requirement.
    • Go to the FIELD HUNTER TRIALS Leaderboard to check your horse's current level. Horses may enter below their level but those entered above will be disqualified and entry fee confiscated.
    • Error change requests/discipline declarations are not guaranteed to be completed by end of show, especially those submitted on its final day.
    • Undeclared horses will be disqualified and entry fee confiscated.
    • Duplicate entries will result in a DQ and will not be refunded. If the same horse is entered by multiple members, only first entry is taken into account and any following entries will be disqualified.

Shadow and Eileen are a great team. They came together later than most horse-rider combinations at Rhovanion. Shadow was already over 10 years old and Eileen was in her late 20s. They had but a lot of experience though so they could get started at a higher level. First they did both Show Hunter and Field Hunter. Shadow is getting old though and so Eileen retired him from Show Hunter. They love Field Hunter just too much to give it up. But because it is hard to find a course or facility to train at they just practice with hunter jumps or on an eventing course. This is why they don’t get the best results. Eileen has accepted that she and her horse will never win a lot of first place ribbons or compete at the highest levels. Shadow is getting too old and will have to be retired someday soon. At this show their weakness was speed. They managed the course with little problem, but they had a bad time. Shadow isn’t a young, speedy horse. He probably was never a very speedy horse even in his youth. He is a very reliable horse though. Sure he will get exited before the start or before a big jump, but he will never let you down. Eileen has been thinking about his retirement a lot in the last while. Shadow is 19 years old and he deserves the best retirement any horse could ask for. He will probably live out in the fields with some of the other older horses. Eileen doesn’t know if she will get another competition horse for field hunter trails or if she will try another discipline. Maybe she will one day train a foal from Shadow. But this is all in the future and for now she will enjoy all the time she has left competing her horse.
