  • ABOUT US:

Our vision at Bluegrass Horse Auctions is to become the Equus Sims answer to Keeneland Sales. Our hope is to become “THE” place to buy and sell your TOP prospects. The plan is to host three auctions during each game year:

    • Season 1 = Youngstock Auction (Ages 3 and under)
    • Season 3 = Working Stock Auction. (Age 4+)

Season 2 and Season 4 we will be open for entries for the upcoming auction. Entries will close on the 1st and we will release the SALES CATALOG for the auction approximately 1 week later.
The LIVE AUCTION will follow on Slack the following weekend (around the 15th)

Our primary goal is to provide an easy, fun, interactive way for players to buy and sell to each other. We hope it also provides us with the side effect of getting players together, having fun and building community. This is also another opportunity for players to boast about their horses, their success AND another goal - to make the TOP SELLERS list! Who's gonna have the highest selling horses?

    Auction Staff :

    Caroline Delacort, Siri Kane

    • Regular Sales Rules Apply. You should not alter the horse's conformation and/or coat other than minor necessary modifications/updates needed due to aging up. You may not use the template, coat or custom markings on another horse. Do not upload file for public use or claim as your own creation. Should you no longer want the horse as a courtesy please give first buy option to the original seller/creator.

    • Bluegrass Equine Auctions is functioning as a third party seller. We do not own the horses, nor do we have the files for the horses. Winning Bidders/Buyers agree to pay the Seller/Owner the winning bid amount within 48 hours of auction close. Seller/Owner agrees to provide Winning Bidder/Buyer with Sim file, any applicable markings and the main site profile within 48 hours of receipt of payment. Seller/Owner also agrees to pay Bluegrass Equine Auctions (Caroline Delacort) a commission of 3% of the winning bid for each completed auction.

    • Auction Catalogs will include all pertinent information for each horse being sold. Catalogs will be available as a printable PDF file approximately one week prior to the auction.

    • Live auction will be held on Slack according to the schedule posted on this thread. We will set up a Slack #Auction channel - each horse will be presented by their hip # and details from the Auction Catalog will be posted. Bidding will begin and increase in $500 increments until the winning bid has been reached. Closing with going once - twice - and SOLD to NAME TO BE INSERTED HERE for $PRICE

    • If you are NOT on Slack or are unable to attend the auction in person due to time zone conflicts we recommend sending an agent to bid for you. This would be someone you trust to bid in your best interest per your instructions. A list of recognized agents can be found above. You can also submit a bids prior to the auction via email.. These closed bids will include your highest bid for the horse of interest. A Bluegrass Equine Auction employee will bid for you based on your submitted bid. If this system is taken advantage of limitations may be added.

    • BIDDING/BIDDING AGENTS: A Seller may not bid on their own horse. An agent may not bid on a single horse for more than one buyer. All Bidding Disputes will be resolved by Bluegrass Equine Auctions and all Buyers/Sellers agree to abide by the decisions of Bluegrass Equine Auctions.

The seller may elect at that time to remove the horse from the sale, relist the horse with no reserve or relist the horse with reserve (same or lower). The horse will then be added to the end of the auction queue and the horse will be offered again with the new terms prior to auction close. NO Commission is due for horses that sell below their original reserve.
